I always loved food.
The chemistry of mixing ingredients, the aroma of sautéing veggies in a pan and the sense of accomplishment one feels after taking a baking dish out of the oven have always mystified me.
At the age of six, I was already a pro in making pancakes. I improvised on a recipe I learnt from a magazine; I added more milk powder to make a milky pancake as opposed to the bread-y version most recipes have. My kitchen experiments were often put on hold, but deep down I always knew it is the kitchen where I truly belong. OK, maybe not when it’s time to do the dishes, but even for that I have developed a number of tricks to make the boring chore an easy task that goes smoothly.
In this blog I intend to share my humble recipes, cooking tips, food rants and thoughts.
